Youth Investment for Employment and Leadership Development (YIELD) Program equips Cambodian youth with the skills, knowledge, and opportunities to succeed in the job market while advocating for fair and sustainable employment policies and inclusive socially responsible citizens.

Program Objectives

The YIELD program aims to:

  • Enhance employment potential by building both hard and soft skills
  • Increase awareness of the job market, labor laws, and social protectionpolicies
  • Promote growth and entrepreneurial mindset
  • Provide practical work experiencevia internships and exposure to professional employment environments
  • Advocate for sustainable employment and enabling policies including living wages, labor rights, and inclusive social protection systems.

Program Approach

The program uses a multi-faceted approach to prepare youth for the workforce and social engagement:

  1. Skill Building: Capacity development in in-demand skills, including communication, problem solving, teamwork, and social entrepreneurship building.
  2. Job Market Exposure: Knowledge of labor law, corporate social responsibility, business and human rights, and social protection systems.
  3. Internships & Experience: Opportunities to gain practical work experience and learn professional behaviors.
  4. Civic & Social Engagement: Secure employment allows youth to remain active in social initiatives, volunteer work, and community development.
  5. Advocacy & Networking: support youth-led initiatives and build synergy with strategic partners to influence policies supporting sustainable employment and inclusive social protection systems.
